Rewild The Planet Through Music

The Tambah Project began as one of those casual lofty conversations on the beach between two people wanting to change the world. Their tool of choice; music. The big idea was to use the power of music to connect, move and inspire positive change whilst rewilding the planet.

We create community-driven songs that you stream for a greener planet, with all royalties going to Wild Ark — a non-profit working to conserve and rewild the earth.

This year our track is ‘Our Song’, written and recorded by Kyle Lionhart, Nidala Barker and Billy Otto at the iconic Rockinghorse Studios in Byron Bay.

LISTEN TO OUR SONG

The first track for the Tambah Project is “Our Song” - an epic Pop-Rock ballad about hope and connection written in the wake of the bushfires and just as the Covid19 pandemic was unfolding. It was written to remind you that you are not alone, and that when we come together and unite, we are unstoppable.

OUR PHILOSOPHY

We wanted to harness the purity of music and its power to connect, impact and move people, outside of the confines of the commercial music industry.

HOW IT WORKS

Once a year, three Australian artists are invited to leave their everyday life and head to idyllic Byron Bay to co-create a unique song written and recorded from start to finish in one weekend.

The song is unique for three reasons:

1. It is community-driven
We ask fans about the themes that matter to them most, which then informs our next song.

2. The song is owned by the people
Music belongs to everyone. All proceeds go back to the Earth.

3. Every stream makes the track greener

First we carbon offset, then we regenerate the earth, with all royalties going to Wild Ark a non-profit working to conserve and rewild the planet.

TEAM

We have a bunch of collaborators, helpers and legends who have all been involved on many levels. This is them.

We acknowledge and pay our respects to the traditional custodians of the land we live and create on, the Arakwal people of the Bundjalung Nation. Sovereignty of this land was never ceded. We respect and acknowledge the powerful contribution the Arakwal people and Indigenous peoples globally make to the world of conservation and music.
